GORILLA PERMITS UGANDA AND RWANDA

We advise you to book and reserve your Safari 1 to 3months in advance, because Gorilla permits have limited availability especially in the high and peak seasons (January, February, June, July, August, September and December).

From 01 July 2020, the price for Gorilla permit in Uganda is at USD 700 Per Permit.

GORILLA PERMIT RATES

In Uganda Bwindi impenetrable forest national park and Mgahinga national park, the Gorilla permit is at USD 700, You can track from the following places and this depends on your energy:

3. RUSHAGA

4. NKURINGO

In Rwanda the permit for tracking the gorillas is at USD 1, 500 Per Person

Visa

The costs for a tourist single entry visa for Uganda is USD 50 per person

If you are planning to visit Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda, you need to request for an East African Tourist Visa. This special tourist visa costs USD 100 per person and allows 90 days multiple entries to Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya.

Money

The national currency in Uganda is the Ugandan shillings (UGX)

US dollar notes, Euros and British pound sterling are widely accepted and can be exchanged at the airport or any Forex bureau or bank.

For US dollars, older bills may be refused or attract a less favorable exchange rate. Smaller denominations (below 50 USD) may also attract lesser exchange value. Credit cards are usually accepted at the major hotels and other places.

Health

Travel medical insurance is not compaulsory but it is very vital in terms of un planned circumstances that may occur, we advise you to make it a priority and some time consider your insurance coverage when on the trip/safari.
